This past Sunday we began a 3 week journey of answering how we should live for the glory of God. The first week we examined Romans 1:16-17 to show how we glorify God through making disciples. Disciples are made through the gospel.
What is the Gospel?
This a definition by David Platt based on Romans 1-3
The just and gracious God of the universe looked upon hopelessly sinful people and sent his son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to bear his wrath against sin on the cross and to show his power over sin in the resurrection so that all those who have faith in him the result will be reconciled to God forever.
In our message we looked at how the gospel is the power of God (Romans 1:16-17) to make and mature disciples.
The Gospel is the power of God Unto Salvation past present and future. Here are some promises that are found in the gospel.
