This Week at City Church

At Citychurch, everything revolves around our one sentence purpose statement: to extend the glory of God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ.  This vision translates for us into three key values; gospelcommunity, and mission.  Our weekly updates are designed to keep this focus.

In our Community Bible Readings (CBR), we continue the journey through Isaiah and the promise of God’s peace, and we will also say goodbye to the incredible book of Romans, and begin to read about the troubled church at Corinth.  Good news ahead!

Apr 2 — Isaiah 57, Romans 14;  Apr 3 — Isaiah 58, Romans 15;  Apr 4 — Isaiah 59, Romans 16; Apr 5 — Isaiah 60, 1 Cor 1; Apr 6  — Isaiah 56, 1 Cor 2 ; and Apr 7 — Psalm 118.

Remember, if you wish to share your thoughts and questions on the Bible, contact the church office to hook up with an individual or an on-line text group (info@citychurchpa.org).

This week our Home Groups will be meeting on different days, at five locations, throughout our area. We will be discussing this week's sermon!

The LEGACY youth ministry meets at the church on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm. All kids between grades 6-12 are invited!

We will be having our Spring Potluck on April 15th right after church. If you are able to bring a dish, please check out the signup sheet at the Guest Table to see what still might be needed, or inquire at the church office (570) 323-9847 / email: info@citychurchpa.org.

The good news is that our church continues to grow and grow, but the other side of this is that we need more and more helpers to keep up with this growth. This is especially true with helpers needed for the CityKidz (all ages), offering, and greeters, particularly outside parking attendants.  If you can give just one Sunday a month to serving — it would be a great blessing!

We are exploring partnership with the Christian and Missionary Alliance —a global movement committed to reaching the corners of the earth with the gospel and abiding in the deeper life of the Holy Spirit.  The Alliance - inspired by Jesus’ love and empowered by His Spirit - is passionate to bring the good news about Him to our neighborhoods and the nations.  Pray for the Eastern PA District Office of The Alliance located in Middletown, PA that has been working closely with Pastor Raphael.
