This Week at City Church

At City Church, everything revolves around our one sentence purpose statement: to extend the glory of God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ.  This vision translates for us into three key values; gospel, community, and mission.  Our weekly updates are designed to keep this focus.

In remembrance of the departure of that great servant of God, Billy Graham, who quoted, "The word of God hidden in the heart is a stubborn voice to suppress." -

Lots of good readings in this week’s Community Bible Readings (CBR)! Feb 26 — Isaiah 32, Acts 17; Feb 27 — Isaiah 33, Acts 18;  Feb 28 — Isaiah 34, Acts 19; Mar 1 — Isaiah 35,  Acts 20; Mar 2 — Isaiah 36,  Acts 21; and Mar 3 — Psalm 113.

Try to find someone who you share these readings.  If you would like to share your thoughts virtually with an on-line text group, contact the church office (

Small groups are an important part of our ministry activity, and this includes home groups as well as men and women’s groups.  This week on Tuesday, Feb 27th, the men will come together at City Church at 6:30pm.  We will be reviewing the message from Sunday on Romans 8:28-30 and praying together for each other.  All men are encouraged to come out.

Reminder: “Legacy” is the new youth ministry for grades 6-12 and meets every Thursday at the church from 6:30-8:30.  If you have questions, contact our youth pastor Kevin Garza -

The church is planning on moving the services upstairs on March 18th!  This will be two weeks before Easter which is on April 1st. We are asking every member to consider inviting or bringing someone new to church in the next few weeks. We would like to have the largest attendance ever for our Easter Service!

We are praying

For Restoration Church

Throughout this year, we are praying for other churches that we have some connection.  This week we are praying for Rick Rivera, pastor of Restoration Community Church in the Bronx, New York. Rick especially asked for prayer for a space for them to worship together, and also that God would continue to cause increase in their membership.
